La Oficina de Bienestar y Protección Animal de GRAC: Global Rights Action es una unidad especializada adscrita al Departamento de Desarrollo Sostenible, enfocada en la creación y ejecución de estrategias para la protección, conservación y bienestar de los animales. Su labor se basa en la concienciación, educación ambiental y desarrollo de políticas sostenibles que fomenten la coexistencia armoniosa entre las comunidades humanas y la fauna silvestre y doméstica.

Dado el impacto directo de los ecosistemas en el equilibrio ecológico y el desarrollo sostenible, esta oficina busca garantizar la preservación de la biodiversidad y la protección de los derechos de los animales, promoviendo un modelo de vida que respete todas las formas de vida.

Propósito General

La Oficina de Bienestar y Protección Animal tiene como objetivo principal desarrollar estrategias y proyectos que:

✔ Promuevan la protección y el bienestar de los animales

Implementar programas de rescate, rehabilitación y reubicación de especies en riesgo, asegurando su integridad y derechos.

✔ Concientizar a las comunidades sobre la importancia de la fauna en los ecosistemas

Educar sobre el papel crucial de los animales en el equilibrio ambiental y fomentar la responsabilidad ciudadana en su cuidado y conservación.

✔ Fomenten prácticas sostenibles que respeten a los animales y sus hábitats

Desarrollar iniciativas que reduzcan el impacto humano sobre la fauna y promuevan el respeto por los ecosistemas naturales.

✔ Contribuyan al cumplimiento de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS)

Especialmente los relacionados con la vida terrestre (ODS 15) y la sostenibilidad ambiental, promoviendo acciones concretas para la reducción de la deforestación, la protección de especies en peligro y la lucha contra el tráfico ilegal de fauna silvestre.

La Oficina de Bienestar y Protección Animal de GRAC trabaja bajo los principios de honestidad, humanidad y humildad, asegurando que todas sus iniciativas contribuyan a la protección de la vida en todas sus formas. Su labor es clave para crear conciencia y fomentar un cambio positivo en la relación entre el ser humano y los animales, promoviendo una visión ética y responsable hacia el medio ambiente.
